APCO Institute’s Public Safety Telecommunicator I (PST1), 7th Edition is the foundation for APCO telecommunicator training. The design of the course closely follows the standards set by APCO (APCO/ANS 3.103.2.2015) as well as various state training authorities for the 40-hour basic course in public safety telecommunications. Every care has been taken to ensure that the course addresses the key competencies listed in the minimum training standards. The course may be used for both new hire training as well as existing employee in-service training. Students receive certification upon completion of the course.
